Comments on the CSR Report

Svenska Spel is issuing a CSR Report for the sixth consecutive year in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines. The report is issued once a year as part of the Annual Report.

Svenska Spel’s sustainability efforts are published in a social report requested by the Ministry of Finance once a year.

This is how Svenska Spel reports its responsibility and sustainability effort

The CSR Report describes Svenska Spel’s work in the focus areas of business ethics and security, responsible gaming, responsibility for employees, economic responsibility and environmental responsibility. Svenska Spel’s performance in relation to its commercial significance in the business ethics and environmental responsibility focus areas has been assessed in relation to the company’s key stakeholders. The aim is for Svenska Spel’s sustainability effort priorities to match external stakeholders’ needs and expectations. Sustainability data was selected during a number of workshops with the key individuals concerned. Data was subsequently gathered from the operation. The Finance & Security staff function is responsible for collection and quality assurance.

The report is valid for the 2012 calendar year and encompasses the Parent Company and subsidiaries. The most recent report (2011 CSR Report) was published in March 2012.

In Svenska Spel’s assessment, the 2012 CSR Report meets the requirements imposed on the C+ application level, based on the application levels developed by the Global Reporting Initiative. Deloitte AB has assured Svenska Spel’s 2012 CSR Report as above and confirms that it fulfils the requirements of the C+ application level. See the assurance report.
