How Svenska Spel's Corporate Social Responsibility is reported

For the fourth consecutive year, Svenska Spel is including as a part of the Annual Report, a CSR Report in accordance with the guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). Reporting of Svenska Spel’s responsibility process is also part of the social responsibility report that Svenska Spel’s owner, the Ministry of Finance, requests on an annual basis.

The CSR Report describes Svenska Spel’s work in the focus areas of Business ethics and security, Social responsibility and responsible gaming, Economic responsibility, Environmental responsibility and Responsibility for Employees. Svenska Spel’s performance in relation to its commercial significance in the focus areas of Business ethics, Social responsibility and Environmental responsibility has been evaluated in relation to the Company’s key stakeholders. The aim is for Svenska Spel’s social responsibility priorities to be aligned with the needs and expectations of external stakeholders.

CSR data for reporting have been selected through a number of workshops in which key personnel have participated. Data has thereafter been handed in from business areas, operational areas and staff functions. Svenska Spel’s Group Controlling support function is responsible for collection and quality assurance.

The CSR Report covers the 2010 calendar year and includes the Parent Company and subsidiaries. The previous report (CSR Report 2009) was issued in April 2010.
